The State Professional Development Day is a key event in the continence learning calendar, providing valuable professional development, networking opportunities, insights from experts, and the chance to connect with industry partners supporting bladder, bowel and pelvic floor health across Australia.
With a program curated by practitioners responding to continence needs, and with accredited CPD Points, this event will help strengthen your knowledge and understanding allowing you to proceed forward with confidence in continence health and care.

Practical Ultrasound Workshop
The Practical Ultrasound workshop, presented by Integrated Ultrasound Education, facilitated by Narelle Morin, will offer an introduction to the application and use of point of care ultrasound (PoCUS) of the bladder, rectum and pelvis in a clinical setting.
Attendees will be provided with 2 CPD points for completing the workshop and a certificate of attendance.
Who should attend this workshop
Health care professionals including medical, nursing and allied health clinicians who would like an introduction to the use of POCUS in these areas.
What is included in this workshop
• Course materials: Attendees will be issued with pre-reading materials and a course booklet to complement learning.
• Small group practical hands-on session with a maximum of 5 participants per tutor.
Learning aims
• Preparation of a patient for point of care ultrasound assessment
• Identification of key pelvic structures using point of care ultrasound
• Measurement of pre void and post void bladder volumes
• Measurement of rectal diameter
Important information
Course participants will be called upon to be ‘models’ to assist with practical learning. Please speak with your tutor if you are unable to volunteer.
