Catheterisation Skills Workshop for Nurses

Continence Health Australia will be running optional Catheterisation Skills Workshops in each state, independently of the Professional Development Days.

This course is aimed at nurses who are required to undertake catheterisation as part of their scope of practice.

The course consists of the following components:

  1. Online learning modules. The online course takes 2 to 3 hours to complete and must be completed and passed before the face-to-face workshop
  2. Face-to-face 5-hour Skills Workshop

The practical skills workshop provides the opportunity for participants to practice the skill of indwelling catheterisation on both male and female manikins, as well as suprapubic catheterisation and receive feedback.
